How to ENHANCE your PHOTO FAST!! Photoshop Tutorial

How to make your photos POP & LOOK BETTER! Photoshop Tutorial welcome back to another vlog okay so this video is going to be a little bit different let me explain when I was working on my video son knows I've always selected some sort of frame from the current video and I'm just like screen shot down that was my son know and like that was really bad because like all the pictures could be in to be blurry the color quality just it's just a weird doesn't look it looks too dull so lately I've been working on my photoshop skills learning to enhance those on this and make him look a little bit more attractive so one thing I've been doing is playing with photoshop a lot and that's what I want to teach you guys on how to quickly make your pictures just give it a little bit more punch you feel give it a little bit more make a little bit more colorful hopefully this would help you guys send us help me a little bit I got this image right here and it looks good already it was taken it was taken from the iphones like that iphones do a real good job of pictures but we could do we can make it a little bit better and that's what i want to show so what i'm going to do is I'm going to create a new layer I'm going to press the mac command keys which is shift command option t what this is going to do is it's going to grab the current image with whatever filters a might already be like caked on and it's just going to read you placate with all that on that new layer that we created i hope that makes sense if not just just keep watching your lenders you'll see what i mean one thing that I've messed up on is that I've created like sometimes sometimes I'm like making the all these edits to this picture and things are looking really good now I'm like yes yes yes and then I do something like wait a minute I need to go a few steps back to make it to make this look better but it's already too late to like undo all those changes it's like I've gone to a to a phase where like like there's no going back right and so something I've been doing this I mean create new layers and layers so that way if I don't like something I could just delete that layer it's much easier than then doing all your edits and take you know there's one layer for like for like 30 minutes and then you like no like I messed up yes so create new layers really does help this image looks great already as it is but one thing that I'm going to do is I'm going to create it as a smart object i'm also going to open up the filter i'm going to open up the camera raw filter so on this screen right here i can increase exposure the contrast to highlight the shadows the wife of black that can manipulate that a little bit better so let's see it looks like what the temperature the temperature is looking fine the way it is I do want to look at the exposure I want to increase the exposure just a little bit the contrast we're pretty contend with the contrast I'm going to increase it to them to nine plus nine shadows and you can just play around with it just scroll through the slider to see what you might think what feels right to you see I think this is pretty good right here we're going to create the blacks a little bit more now the goal with this is to make it look at so as possible like make subtle changes that's always much better I think you don't want to make it look you want to make it look like you have too much fun on Photoshop because that's just really obvious I want to increase the virus up a little bit make a little bit more punchy there you go not too much and saturation I want to create such action just a little bit make the Greens a little bit greener there you go I'm contend with definitely love letter for vipers for for saturation that looks pretty good the clouds are looking pretty good the Sun over here is looking pretty good okay I'm content with this i'm going to press ok and right off the bat you can already see a big difference on the image itself if I just make this if I make this layer hidden you can already tell the big difference like the colors are a little bit more punching it pop out a little bit more and I really like that so now I want to sharpen the image and this is there's multiple ways of doing this but the way i want to show you it probably the easiest way to do it is to go through making it blurry and then making it and then going from there you make invisible now you make it sharper I came and think right now okay let's do this so I'm going to create a new layer and I'm going to do the commands against shit command option p all right let me show you what I mean by it so if I make this visible things you still see the same image that we had on this layer 1 which is which is hidden right now but if we take this off then you can tell a difference you're like whoa we're back to normal that's good because in case I ever made a mistake on layer 2 and I need to revert back to layer 1 I could just delete it and then do that do the edits again that I need to do and yeah yeah yeah so that's why I create new layers and that's what the that's what the command shift command option each does so just print the current image that we have with the current settings with whatever filters we have on to a new layer that we created I want to make this sharper so I'm going to destroy it first by by making it blurry we're going to go to the filter we're going to go to the blur tab and we're going to set lect then we're going to select Gaussian blur it's currently at one point one but i think would bump it up to like four so we're going to make it super blurry now you guys is blurry image and you might be like whoa like what like this doesn't make any sense why do get to make it blurry to make it sharper it doesn't make any sense watch be patient with me what we're going to do is now going to this tab and we're going to select soft light there you go look at that like it's already made it sharper than than it was before we do this sharper sharper sharper it's a little bit like depressing colors but we can change that we'll just go to a pacity will make it goes down to like fifty percent say 45 a lot of this stuff is subjective it's whatever feels good to you and everybody has different tastes so don't feel like it you have to do it this way there's plenty of ways of doing it do it whatever you whatever way you're happy with that's always the best way to go with it we have to do another step to this and so what I'm going to do is I'm going to create another layer we're going to do the shift command option eat let's zoom in a little bit on this picture so we can see what's going on okay looks pretty good what we're going to do is we're going to first desaturate this image so we're going to image adjustments desaturate which is I think shift command you now you got this start picture black and white now what we're going to do is we're going to this tab instead of normal we're going to select overlay now you guys it's like super awesome that's just like wait what are we doing how does this sharpen the image this is where the magic happens we're going to filter and they're still in later three we're going to filter we're going to other we're going to do a high path there you go you got a radius here how how much details going to pop out I think I like to twosome yeah two sounds good to me okay i'm going to select ok and there you go as you can see you already there is alive detail going on right here we unselect this and still like a little bit more the details pop up a lot more so the trees you can see the detail on the trees a little bit more you can see the distance a little bit more detailed I really like that so I'm contend with this super content in case I want to like a little bit more detail a little bit more of that I'm what i can do is i can duplicate these these layers i can redo placate these letters when selecting layer 2 layer 3 and go into the new tab right here it's a new layer and then reduplicate to this thing but this is like too much but I can always change the opacity made to lie five percent % like you can see on the ground right here pitch to the ground it's just a subtle change and so far if we just hide all these layers that we've done you can see how much has changed so far but it's pretty sunny day I think what we could do is maybe add a little bit of warmth to the shot so what we can do here is we will create a new layer will go to image lie edit fill we're going to color and what I might want to be looking for is maybe like an orange color maybe not red orange is more who long to feel there's a there's a hat the hex code damn it hex code is e C 8000 that's four zeros of end I'm just going to select ok now we're going to click on soft light now you got this like weird orange color landscaping but we're going to drop the opacity by dropping the opacity that will help go back to like normal clothes maybe maybe like like a 13-percent 10 I like that I like that it gives them more of a summerfield this orange II feel mix it feel a little bit more summer-like and I like that this is awesome this already looks really good we're going to create a new layer what I want to do now is work on the highlights like the darks and uh and all this other stuff right so for example i'm going to create a new layer in order to do shift command option e first i'm going to make a new adjustment layer you guys can't see it here but if you guys click on this tab you guys should see at the bottom of brightness a brightness adjustment layer and this will help us just make them so changes to the brightness maybe increase it just a little bit it's a zero maybe like a 66 looks good now things a little bit brighter feel a little bit more natural i think i'm going to also add another addressing layer and to create a new layer first press shift command option you at the same time here i'm going to click this adjustment layer button right here I know you guys can't see you know so I'm sorry about that i'm going to select i'm going to select curves now curves it could be a little bit complicated it could be a little bit scary because i know i was caring about it for a little bit what we have here the RGB the rad the greens blues we can manipulate these colors of you know what it should look like what i want to do is just increase the brightness just a little bit just ever so slightly maybe make the darks little bit more darker but not so much actually because that doesn't look too good right it's way too dark it looks and then look too natural so maybe i want to increase the life just a little bit more sounds pretty good okay and i want to increase i want to manipulate the blues a little bit we can increase the blue car it looks too blue right there but maybe just just a little bit a little bit under make you feel a little bit more like summertime there you go okay so so far we got a lot of filters going on we've made the shot a little bit warmer we made the shot a little bit more punch here a little bit more detail we've made the colors pop out a little bit more it looks great but there's just one more thing I would like to do and that would be to just darken up this section right here of the shadows of like the cloud shadows right here I love to just darken that up just a little bit more and so this is how we're going to do we're going to one select the lasso tool the lasso tool should do the trick and what we're going to do is we're going to click and hold and just drag on this image the area that I want to select to edit doesn't have to be too perfect but you want to try and make it as almost as perfect as you possibly can actually this is the best vessel that ever done actually normally I'm like scrolling these up really badly so we have that second selected and as you can see there's still more shadows here like clash house to select so what I'm going to do is press it press and hold shift which you see the plus sign here now and now we can do another click and hold and select a different area with a creamy layer I'm going to select press shift command option e click on the adjustment layer filter right here then I'm going to select curves once again this curves tool it's only going to edit the tools we've circles here with the lasso tool and you can see that right here if I drag this it only edits that area we're pretty content with the image i think the image looks really really good now what we can do is just select all the layer tools all the layers that we've edited and hold command ng that will group them together and that can make these hidden or unhidden and you can tell the big difference right here how much of a big difference the images like this is amazing that's my tutorial on how to make your your image a little bit better and hopefully this helps and okay yes I'll see you guys on the next one piece.
